Community Guidelines

The Habitat AmeriCorps Community is a place for you to learn, collaborate, and share within your AmeriCorps network.

Welcome.
This online community is a place for you to network, ask questions, explore resources, build relationships, and create connections with your peers.
It is a space that facilitates learning about Habitat for Humanity, AmeriCorps, and your position. We are excited to have you join us on this new adventure, as we seek unique ways to interact, engage, and learn from one another.

What are some ways to participate in the Habitat AmeriCorps Community?
  • Personalize your profile with pictures and information about yourself.
  • Be active; this is a place for you to learn, network, and get connected to other Habitat AmeriCorps members.
  • Read and comment on the materials we have provided. We are providing them to help you.
  • Share your knowledge or lessons learned that can bring value to others. We all learn more together.
  • If you do not know something, ask. Maybe we or one of the other users will know the answer.
  • Share your feedback. This is a new system. We need your help to make it a community.

What are the Habitat AmeriCorps Community guidelines?
  • Be positive and appropriate. Respect people as individuals by keeping your tone positive and your comments constructive. Maintain professionalism and do not post content that is inappropriate for the workplace. Do not solicit or advertise within the community. Please do not go on rants against anyone.
  • Respect confidentiality. Do not post anything that would violate any contractual agreements (copyright, trade secret or otherwise) or nondisclosure agreements to which you are a party. Make sure you do not post anything about your organization that would cause trouble.
  • Protect privacy. Do not share anything about yourself or your organization that you would not want to see on a road-side billboard or that violates the privacy policy of your organization or other third party social media websites.
  • Share, share, share. We will do our best to provide valuable content. However, each of you has great expertise in various areas. The more you provide, the more valuable a resource this community becomes. And, please remember that the opinions of Habitat AmeriCorps Community moderators, posters, and commentators are their own and not necessarily that of Habitat for Humanity.

We welcome your feedback and ideas
